The Carl Albert Center's Cleveland County COVID-19 Digital Collection has been created to document the announcements, policies, and response from the Cleveland County, The City of Norman (COVID-19), the Oklahoma State Department of Health COVID-19 Website, The University of Oklahoma Coronavirus/COVID-19 Updates and Resource Website, both State and City of Norman video reports, and all proclamations, newsletters, and emails that we can collect. Additionly, the Center is collecting Twitter data multiple times a day from: City of Norman's Mayor Breea Clark, City of Norman Official Account, the State Department of Health, State of Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, Representative Kendra Horn,  Representative Tom Cole (OK-04), Representative Emily Virgin (OK-44), Representative Jacob Rosecrants, Senator Mary Boren (OK-D),  and Senator Rob Standridge (OK-R).

We are also, collecting personal stories and images from our community. You may contribute by using the CONTRIBUTE AN ITEM button found on the homepage. For personal stories, please give as much detail as you would like. Examples include:

  • collected data, graphs, technologies
  • experience with remote teaching or learning
  • news clips, radio clips, or other multimedia

The Carl Albert Center's Cleveland County COVID-19 Digital Collection Project was designed to create a platform for future students, researchers, staff, and faculty when investigating the historic COVID-19 pandemic. By focusing on Cleveland County, Oklahoma and greater Oklahoma City government response, we intend to focus our collection with greater detail and attention.

Please help us with our project by communicating with the Carl Albert Center Archives at CACArchives@ou.edu or japryse@ou.edu.
